Stephen Hunter Shares Secrets of the International Market
Stephen Hunter, VP of Programming, Cineflix Inc, shares his professional secrets with producers on how to get their ideas and projects into the international marketplace. Show & Tell: From Conception to Launch will be full of helpful hints to get your program funded, made and aired. Hunter's valuable insights are a welcome addition to WCHP. "By having case studies presented, from idea to development to pitch and marketing strategies, through actual production and delivery, hopefully, the 'process' will become clearer," says Hunter who is producing and moderating the highly anticipated session. "My goals are to de-mystify the process, make it more transparent to the international production community, and help producers get their projects made and seen."
The panel will consist of four members. "One from a very large and established "indie" production company, one from an established and solid but middle of the pack (in terms of hours produced) company, one from the lower middle; they been around a few years but are still struggling to keep there head above water, and lastly, from a virtual start up company which may have a couple of projects that have been produced but are they are trying to get the whole plane off the ground," says Hunter.
The projects being presented range from a limited series on the Protestant Reformation, to one- offs on Trench warfare, 9/11 and a forensic investigation into the genocide of an entire indigenous population at the hands of European settlers in North America. Longer running series will also be talked about. Each company will come equipped with clips from their successfully produced programming and the marketing and pitch materials they used to sell the project.
